  Home State Pride...Michigan

By Shelly Johnson

As I travel through the seasons of my life, I find precious memories in each one.  I think of childhood, teen angst, college, career concerns, looking for love, becoming a wife and mother and now, enjoying them all. These memories blend together in my mind like the multi-colored leaves I see on the horizon in this beautiful state called Michigan.

Neal Rubin: Party till the cows come home
Dallas tells the story all the time, so its probably OK to pass it along here. Hes the oldest of the Hughston boys, each separated by four years: Dallas, Denver, Laramie, Star, Laredo. As No. 1 in the food chain, that meant he was the first to get a little too big for his chaps.

Dr. Paul Donohue.: Small aneurysm does not make bowling risky
Dear Dr. Donohue: I am a 73-year-old woman. I have an abdominal aortic aneurysm. I have sonograms regularly. I am in a bowling league. I bowl each week. My bowling ball weighs 10 pounds. Should I bowl? My last ultrasound shows that the aneurysm is 3.8 cm.

Jeanne Phillips: Blissful courtship now wedded drudgery
Dear Abby: I have been married to my second husband, Greg, for 3 1/2 years. Before we married, Greg took me out on dates, we had wonderful conversations and a satisfying sex life.
